You might recognize these handsome boys; I did their family shots a while back. What a seriously fun family they have. I'm sure there's never a dull moment in their house!

thanks Gin! Ya, that does help. I figured it was with the 50 1.8, but it looks like you got a little more DOF (like on the bench) than I get at 2.0. I am having issues getting crisp photos. frustration.

I agree with Angela about the bokeh. What were your settings in the first ones?
Mer, these were shot with my 50mm 1.8. Settings for the first one was SS 1/320, AV 2.0, ISO 100. Hope that helps.
